Playing Achievements.

The club is proud to have had representative from members to be successful in qualifying for various Talent Academy ranging from County, Regional, Excel, England and performing at Talented squads such as pulse and Surrey Storm– it is no easy feat I am proud of these home grown talents and what they bring to the club and our results. I am certain they will rock their opponents when playing in the various competitions and the local leagues.
 

Club Achievements

The club won Division 2 of the London and South East Regional League in 2019 and are now promoted to Division 2, but due to COVID have not been able to take the court in that Division but is looking forward to it in September 2021.

The first squad also won North West Kent League for 2019.

The club won the Regional Club of the Year 2019 and was nominated for the National Award

Head Coach Marlene Wander received the Make the Difference Award for Sport and Culture from the borough and was also short listed for Greater London Award by The Region as a volunteer for continuous hard work in sport due to volunteering for years and given up time and effort to help a sports club.

Professional Qualifications

We are pleased with the number of members with professional achivements.

All our coaches are qualified Danni, Candice and Andrea have passed their Level 2 Coaching Award 

Marlene Level 2 – Level 3 pre-assessed

Marlene Wander is also County Umpire Mentor and Assessor as well as  DBS Approver for Kent.

All coaches are also qualified first aiders and safeguarding officer,with Marlene, Candice and Andrea completing Welfare Officer's qualification.

Candice has been u13 Potential Talent coach for Kent as well Talent Selection Assessment with the County Academies for many years. 

Andrea has also been working with u13 talented players for Kent for many years.

Marlene has been Head coach for Kent U15 and U13  Academy talented players as well as act as Kent Selector and Scout. She is also Pulse franchise U17 hub coache and have also done this role for Surrey Storm.

We have a vast amount of talent both as players and officials within the club and we must utilise these expertise and nurture the talent for sustainment and continual growth. 

 

The club has once again (following audit) been awarded its SILVER Club Mark accreditation and we are working towards our GOAL

Sabina Netball are proud to have achieved the Silver CAPS award which demonstrates our commitment to ensuring the club is professionally managed and offers a safe and caring environment for all our members - juniors and seniors.

CAPS was introduced by England Netball and Sport England to help develop a stronger netball club structure.  CAPS is a whole club development scheme, and by working through the scheme it helps us to provide the best quality environment for our members. The scheme is directly linked to Sport England’s Clubmark scheme and it’s all about good practice in the development of players, coaches and umpires at all levels. CAPS accredited clubs are recognised as safe, effective and child friendly. 

In line with the Clubmark award, CAPS focuses on four key areas that impact Netball clubs:

• Duty of Care and Child Protection
• Coaching and Competition
• Club Management/ Administration
• Sports Equity and Ethics.
