1sts and 2nds Maintain Top Spot in NWK League

On Saturday 1sts and 2nds took to court in some surprisingly warm weather.
First was the 1sts against OBA 1. The match began well with the defence getting hands to ball straight away to convert to goal. Overall, the team made some great connections through court and units worked well as a result of great communication and ability to adapt. OBA Didn't really get much of a look in and the game concluded with a final score of 48-26 to us. POTM went to Princess for her usual, fantastic reading of the game, countless interceptions and all round awesomeness. Well done 🎉
Next up was 2nds against Nexus. The match began well with fast transitions to goal as well as converting many opposition centre passes. Defence did well to shut down the attackers, creating opportunities for a widening goal difference. The game ended with a score of 24-14 to us. Throughout the match we began to loosen on through court defence which allowed Nexus to increase their goals per quarter from 6 to 9. However, it gave us an opportunity to work out new tactics and use what'd we'd been learning in training the previous week. Overall, we did well to turn over balls to goal and maintain a solid level of fitness that meant continued to dominate the game.
The game concluded with a finals core of 49-32 to us. POTM went to Roxanne for her great shooting and movement in the circle. Congratulations 🎊 this continues our winning streak and maintenance of 1st position in the league.
