County Squad Fight Against Istead in Second Showdown of the Season

On Sunday our county squad faced Istead in a home match. It was a hard fought match having lost against Istead back in November with a score of 61-32. We knew we wanted to bring the big guns out against the team that sit top of the league.
The entire team showed fantastic versatility due to some players unable to play last minute. We began slowly and made a few forced errors as we found settled into new combinations and positions. We ended the first half of the game with a score of 25-13 to Istead. Then we had an injection of determination and drive. The light bulb moment came and we ramped up the intensity to fight back hard, gained confir nce and began to make some strong passages of play and movements to prevent Istead to get a look in. Making a drastic comeback from 12 down, we played a blinder of a third quarter, scoring 11 to Istead’s 3! Shooters and defence were on FIRE! In the final quarter, we tried to maintain our gusto but sadly Istead pulled away a little more to give a final score of 40-32. An absolutely terrific score and comeback for our County team considering our previous encounter with Istead.
