County Secure 3rd Position in Kent Div 2

Sunday saw the final county match of the winter 2021/22 season and our squad did not disappoint. After a disappointing loss by 1 goal last time we played Comets before Christmas, we had fight and determination to secure a win this time round.
The match began slowly, taking each centre to goal but not turning over many, resulting in a quarter score of 8-8. After a regroup at quarter time we came back on with a stronger mindset and game play. We took our time, used better communication and resolved any issues in the moment which meant we were able to tighten up on our through court defence and turn over balls to convert. We slowly began to creep ahead, ending the first half with a score of 18-15. Defence really showed up today 👏🏻 making so many interceptions we genuinely lost count and with the continued through court defence adding that extra pressure began to really rattle Comets. Despite a lot of contact within the game, our attackers used their strength and skill to deliver great feeds into the shooter, who also used their skill to maintain strong statue to dictate their space and receive balls that ultimately went to goal despite Comet's defence. With roars from our spectators, our momentum continued to build right up until the final whistle.
The game concluded with a fantastic final score of 43-30. A well fought, well deserved win for our final match! We couldn't be prouder of this squad. POTM went to Rach who played a whole game as centre and even managed a cheeky mid court interception. Special thanks goes to Chenelle, our captain for the season who showed wisdom throughout the season and kept motivation up 🎉 well done ladies, a fantastic season that resulted in a final position in the table in 3rd place
