Win in Final Regional Match of 2021

As the festive period starts, the Regional Squad took to court for their final match of 2021, this time against Cumberland in North London.
Our friendly on Wednesday equipped us well and allowed us to gain confidence and strengthen combinations. The first quarter was nail biting, with a previous injury resulting in a different combination in the shooting circle, the first quarter went goal for goal ending with 10-10. Our objective now was to push forward but look after each other on court. Take turnover opportunities, but be patient and go deep in attack.
Another change in the second quarter, aiming to close down balls, force the opposition into the pockets to demand long balls for some easy interceptions. Our defence understood the assignment 👏🏼 👏🏾 👏🏿 and we began to pull away. The first half concluded with a score of 25-17.
In the second half we continued going from strength to strength and dug deep to continue through the tiredness to turn over and convert balls to goals. We continued driving onto the ball for front balls making the passage of play smooth and clinical down to goal. It was a well fought game mentally and physically and we are so proud of this squad and what they've achieved. A well earned rest over the festive period!
